lunch at NY Dosas (vegan food cart on Washington Square): roti curry with veggie protein lunch special, lentil donut
handful of Stacy’s pita chips
dinner: barbecue tempeh (from The Washington Post’s What’s Cooking blog, with 3x the chipotle chile peppers in adobo; very very good!) with coleslaw (coleslaw recipe), grilled onions and bell peppers seasoned with paprika, and homemade buns by michael
- 1/2 head of cabbage, shredded
- several carrots, shredded
- 1 apple, shredded or chunked
- 1/2c almonds, toasted and slivered
- 1T apple cider vinegar
- juice of 1/2 lime
- 2 tsp jalapeño hot sauce
- 1-2 tsp ginger powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 3/4c vegan mayonnaise (I used Spectrum Light Canola Mayonnaise)
- salt and pepper to taste
one tequila+vodka+orange juice, one tequila+triple sec+grapefruit juice, one Dogfish Head Raison D’Être

desperation. I had to get to work at like 7:30am and do this thing that lasted until 2pm, and forgot to bring a breakfast. I had like a 5 minute window to sprint outside and grab a bagel from the bagel guy on the corner. I suppose I could have waited for toasting and jam, but I just ran.
But yes, super fresh. NEW YORK NEW YORK.

I actually take some of that back; yes, desperation was involved, but I also love everything bagels with nothing on them. Expect more to come.
