breakfast 1: banana

snacks while biking around RI: 1/2 of a chocolate chip cliff bar; 1/2 of an oatmeal raisin cliff bar

breakfast 2 at taylor’s landing: after biking around for 40 miles we finally found a coffee shop that had bagels. i have never been here before. the people who work there are really nice and they have vegan food. i had a sesame bagel with tofutti cream cheese (i brought the cream cheese with me); iced coffee with soy milk; and i bought vegan cookies for later.

lunch: leftover vegan pizza from last night; grapes; kale salad (maybe?); roasted pumpkin seeds with sea salt

snack while visiting nana: banana

dinner at i hop (they let me bring in my own food) to celebrate bobby’s 85th birthday: french fries from ihop; grilled corn on the cob; kale salad; chipotle seitan with wasabi mustard from garden grille; carrot cake from wildflour cafe

lunch at wildflour cafe: mushroom spinach biscuit; chai latte with almond milk

snacks: a sip of leana’s green tea from seven stars bakery; chocolate and vanilla soft serve and a sip of leana’s mango slushie from like no udder (a vegan ice cream truck!- their soft serve is not temptation, but she wouldn’t tell me what brand it is)

dinner (can you call it that): corn on the cob; potato chips; pretzels

dinner bbq with family: corn on the cob; vegetable skewers (tofu, red pepper, orange pepper, mushrooms, and onions) marinated in balsamic marinade; tofutti ice cream sandwich; pretzels

snacks: throat coat tea; wasa 7 grain crackerbread

samples at wildflour cafe: Al Green smoothie (spinach, kale, cucumber, celery, apple, lemon and parsley); Peanut Butter Brownie

dinner at garden grille: chipotle seitan with wasabi mustard (this is my favorite item on the menu); raw lettuce wraps (bibb lettuce, carrots, jicama, scallions, mint, cucumber pad thai, peanut sauce); cornmeal coriander tempeh (grilled bok choy, edamame puree, coconut red lentils, ginger tamari)

dessert: raw cheesecake from wildflour bakery; chamomile mint tea

dinner at garden grille (i think this was the best vegan food i’ve ever had. plus, hermione (emma watson) from harry potter was at the restaurant): hearts of palm “crabcakes” with chipotle aioli on a bed of arugula; chipotle seared seitan with wasabi mustard dipping sauce; pepita encrusted tempeh with sweet & spicy mustard glaze, roasted asparagus, cranberry and sliced almond quinoa, red wine beet reduction and chive oil; baked vegan macaroni and cheese with broccoli and crimini mushrooms

Presented with avocado, salsa & 9-grain toast); VEGAN QUESADILLA (Vegan sausage, tofu, broccoli & soy cheese in a red tortilla w/salsa and red pepper oil); coffee milkshake

blueberries; corn; wasa crackers (i may have eaten these the day before, i can’t remember)

dinner at sergio’s: rice noodles with homemade pasta sauce and mushrooms (not nearly as good as last time. the mushrooms were way too overpowering)

snacks: grapes, watermelon, pineapple, wasa crackers

lunch more grapes; leftover noodle dishes from roch’s; leftover pasta dish from 84 high street; vegetarian sushi from roch’s (not very good)

dinner at gregg’s: pickles; portabella burger (substituted a boca burger for the meat burger and focaccia bread for the bun because the bun isn’t vegan).  the meal comes with fries but they let you substitute.  they have good fries, but i just found out they aren’t vegan/vegetarian.   i got beets instead (i think they were just canned beets poured into a bowl).  the nice thing about gregg’s is that they have a binder which lists the ingredients in their food.  if you ask to see it, they will happily let you read through it for as long as you like.

lunch/dinner at the coast guard house for my sister’s engagement party: the food we ate wasn’t their normal menu.  my mom asked them to make me a special vegan meal (so nice of her!). they made me a great meal: portabella mushroom, kale, white beans, and garlic.  i also ate the vegan food they had prepared for everyone else (not nearly as good): seasoned potato wedges with kethcup; green beans in a ton of oil (yummy); pixie sticks; veggie platter (without the dip): celery, red/green pepper, tomatoes, cucumber. fruit: watermelon and pineapple

drinks: sam adam’s summer ale; long trail (not the hibernator)- both vegan according to barnivore.com

dessert: more mint chocolate lentils from sweenor’s chocolate

dinner two: leftover pasta and veggies from 84 high street cafe; a taste of vegan food my grandparents got me from roch’s market (i really like this place)- ‘vegetarian spinach noodles” and “vegan pad thai noodle salad.”

hopefully this is everything. i can’t believe i ate so much

snack: a bite of a plum (i am not sure if i have ever had a plum before..maybe once. i really liked it- i see more plums in my future)

dinner at 84 high street (westerly, ri): seasoned french fries; bread with olive oil, salt/pepper; whole wheat pasta with veggies (peppers, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, carrots, peppers) tossed in a gross amount of olive oil (i tried adding marinara sauce to make it better, but it didn’t really work)

drink: long trail amber ale (vegan according to barnivore)

dinner: salad (lettuce, tomato, red pepper, cucumber) with balsamic vinaigrette; grilled tofu marinated in teriyaki sauce; grilled corn; potato chips; peas (my mom found me english peas! i ate lots of peas today)

dessert: so delicious ice cream sandwich

drink: stoudt’s fat dog oatmeal stout (vegan- see company responses about vegan products)
